CanCare of Houston, Inc. is an interfaith cancer support network that offers free, one-on-one, long-term emotional support to cancer patients and their families. This support comes from trained volunteers who themselves have experienced and survived a cancer diagnosis or have been a caregiver to someone who has. CanCare volunteers know how to face and overcome many of the challenges presented by cancer. Their message of hope, along with their own testimony of survival, provides strength and courage to those battling the disease.

It also provides prayer support and professional resources for churches, healthcare professionals and individuals who work with those who suffer.

The Pink Fund
Beverly Hills, MI
Email: Molly@ThePinkFund.org
Website: www.ThePinkFund.org

The Pink Fund was borne out of the personal experience of breast cancer survivor Molly MacDonald. MacDonald was diagnosed with breast cancer April 1, 2005 at a time when she was transitioning between jobs. Essentially finding herself unemployed, MacDonald and her family faced financial issues as daunting as the illness itself. The Pink Fund is designed to assist women and therefore their families by providing financial aid to make payments for critical issues such as health insurance, shelter and transportation. MacDonald found her solace in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you saith the Lord, plans to prosper you, not to harm you, to give you hope and a future." The Pink Fund is about providing practical support with hope as a byproduct. The Pink Fund is partnering with Praying Through Cancer to provide Pink Fund recipients a copy of the book. Financial assistance is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2007. Donations can be sent to The Pink Fund in care of Charles Rollo, National City Bank, 3580 West Maple Rd., Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301
